WGS 321 Photovoice exhibition

Updated: Mar 4, 2022

PLEASE JOIN US FOR THE OPENING OF AN EXHIBITION ON PHOTOVOICE RESEARCH ON GENDER AND SEXUAL JUSTICE ACTIVISM AND RESISTANCE

Women’s and Gender Studies offers a 3rd year module on feminist research methodology, WGS 321. Every year students engage in a participatory research project that focuses on an intersectional gender issue that is of current relevance to students and in the context of South African higher education. In 2018 students conducted a photo voice research project exploring public and everyday practices of resistance and activism toward gender and sexual justice. Their work is exhibited here. Please join us for a light lunch and student and staff reflections on this work.
